I finished it and it wasn’t as tedious as I thought - there were far more tonal changes in the blue than appeared. It shows I think how we often see colours as quite flat and don’t always notice the subtle, gradual changes.

A wild night and still windy this morning. Presents all wrapped - I had fun attempting the wrapping without tape technique, I did not do very well but got to the stage of only needing one piece of tape. I know someone who would do much better - someone who knows all about origami.

And that’s it - the shortest day gone. We’re heading towards longer days now.
