Winter Solstice Eve 2023
Finally some flickering rays of sunshine on the shortest day ( or is it tomorrow this year?!). The 15 degrees made for a pleasant walk although the gusts of westerly wind were quite strong. Storm Pia is skirting the south of Britain but there still have been a number of trees brought down.
Above, the westbound jet contrails are whisked away almost immediately. Just like those lives lost 35 years ago today on the PanAm 747 over Lockerbie.
