Festive

I don’t have a real tree anymore but l do buy a fresh garland for the mantelpiece, just a plain one and add my own decorations.

Elaine over until Saturday morning, we squeezed this visit in because between us we haven’t a free weekend till the end of next month.

Not sure where we are going tomorrow, the weather will be a deciding factor. I was awake a lot in the night as the wind sounded so violent.
Got up at one point and made a cup of tea and a slice of toast, then read three chapters of my book in between powers cuts:  they only lasted a few minutes but there must have been about eight in total, of course it set of all the burglar alarms each time.
There are a few trees down today so travel was disrupted.
