Wendy's Window
It's been a day of sorting the house ahead of the family arriving with a short walk with Angela between rain showers. We ate dinner mid afternoon as I had a date with the Hobblers to travel to Saltaire for our annual viewing of the Advent windows. The weather held off and it was an enjoyable hour or so walking up and down the terraced streets giving our various opinions and changing our favourites every time we came across a new one.
When we turned back down Victoria Road it was time to seek out the mulled wine and food for some of us who hadn't eaten in a while. Last year 'Don't Tell Titus' was closed and we had to find an alternative venue. This year it was open but, horrors, no mulled wine! It's on the menu starting tomorrow. It was decided to stay anyway and the six of us took over a corner and perused the menu and Christmas drinks.
What a smashing evening in excellent company as always. The return journey on the train was passed discussing the Hobblwordl spreadsheet (yes, I know!) to the bafflement of the surrounding passengers.
It was decided that this particular window had to be my favourite because of the reindeer holding the recorder upside down, a reference to my limited musical ability!
