Bronze Armillary Sphere

on top of the sundial at the West end of The Meadows, Edinburgh, Scotland. Erected in commemoration of the opening of the International Exhibition by HRH Prince Albert Victor of Wales on 8th May 1886 (the same exhibition as the whale jawbones arrived at The Meadows with the Zetland and Fair Isle knitters).
