Stormy Langdale Chase

Totally awful weather v heavy rain, howling wind! With my brother and SIL , we drove to Silverdale, to exchange his electric van for the Mitsubishi 4wd truck, so we could drive to Ambleside safely. My brother is working on a very nice house in Silverdale which some other relatives will be moving into soon. A gorgeous spot with large garden, will be great for the family of 5. they are downsizing from their 8 bed home in Yealand, which cost 800 per month to heat! They are renting that place out for holidays instead.
We went specially up to Hayes Garden Centre for a replacement plug for Christmas lights. It wasn’t as good there as I remember from many years ago, felt a bit more like an outlet village, with less garden stuff.
It was raining so heavily we didn’t go to Ambleside, but to the Langdale Chase for a drink. Wow so amazingly renovated, just amazing. After about 15 mins, realized the man at the table next to us used to be in the same year as me at school, and we did sailing trips on Windermere together! Pretty funny.
When we got home, we had a Trungs takeaway for my nieces birthday. She had a 12 hour shift at the hospice and was v tired, but enjoyed the food, and went quickly to bed.
