Warmth and the Grinch

The electricians turned up today: illness yesterday. We went to the boiler, switched it on and waited for the power and lights to be tripped. Nothing happened. Everything worked. They checked all the pumps and we tested each heating circuit. All fine. They looked at the wires. All fine. In the end we decided to let it run.

The Grinch was playing with us!

I was able to join the team at church for a Christmas lunch at a local Turkish restaurant. As you can see there was a large charcoal grill. The food was excellent. We had a great time and I was cosy.

I got back to a warm house, put everything back in the cupboards and put the electric heaters away. We then settled down to an evening meal and catching up on some TV.

I was just about to post this when at 23:03 all the power at the back of the house went off again. I am not switching the boiler on again at this hour for it to blow the system overnight.
