The Royal Society - Prince of Asturias award

I went to a debate on the future of cities tonight at the Royal Society, followed by dinner.

Looking for something to symbolise the evening, I spotted this object in a glass case. It's the Prince of Asturas prize, awarded to the Royal Society in 2011 for its work bringing together scientists of different disciplines.

I thought this was just right as the issues cities will be facing in the future can be tackled, but only by bringing together people with a range of expertise and getting them to work collaboratively.
