The youngest member of the herd

This little Highland calf is much younger than the rest and she is still in the field with her mother. No sign of any wee horns beginning to poke through.

The staff have spent some time reconcreting the area infront of the gate into the field ..... for the past years the area has been a permanent bog so hope things are better from now on.

It was a fine morning for a walk but I was glad to get back home before things took a turn for the worse and the raindrops were once again running down the windows.
