A VISIT TO OUR FAVOURITE OPTICIANS

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Leighton here - and, of course, you can guess now where we went this afternoon.

We found a box of lovely chocolate biscuits and were quite excited and we were just about to open it until Mrs. HCB said it was for the lovely ladies (and Adam) at Leightons.  

Mr. HCB said he would take Mrs. HCB to Jack’s Coffee Lounge for a quick coffee, which they did and as we know they like to have a chocolate biscuit with their coffee at Leightons, we made sure that everyone would be there so they could all have at least one - although no doubt there are some who would try to snaffle two but we won’t mention any names!

Of course, we had to visit our lovely friends at DEBRA and you won’t be surprised to hear that Mr. HCB bought ANOTHER jigsaw puzzle - we wish we had a pound for every one he has bought there - but then again, he does do them and then take them back to be resold, so Mrs. HCB can’t grumble at him!

Next we visited Leightons and we had to think of where we could all sit inside Leightons to have our photograph taken.  We are just few in number because we didn’t want to interfere with any people coming in for appointments and whilst all the staff at Leightons know that Mrs. HCB is slightly eccentric, we don’t want everyone to know that!  

Kate, the Manager and Lauren quickly dismantled the house of Leightons that was in the window and brought it into the shop so that we could all clamber on it.  You will see that I am near the chimney - well isn’t that where Father Christmas spends a lot of his time?  We know that dear Admirer would have giggled if she had seen us all.  

Last week one of Mrs. HCB’s friends, Gill, told Leightons that she had not only bought Sid, the donkey but she had also bought KD, the female wolf, to be part of the Silly Saturday Gang.  The staff told Gill that they would love to meet KD so you will see her sitting very nicely in this shot in one of the windows just above the clock.

We wish all the lovely staff at Leightons a very Happy Christmas - they are quite used to Mrs. HCB and her eccentricity, but I’m not too sure about the lady who was waiting to have her eyes tested! Thank you for putting up with Mrs. HCB all year round.    That wasn't very kind and you know we ask you all to BE KIND!

We can see that when Mrs. HCB made this collage, it looks as if all the “girls” from Leightons are part of the SSG - well, let me tell you, most of them are quite silly and we think they would make good “Gang” members!

P.S.  The extra today is especially for those who wanted to see the fingerless gloves that Mrs. HCB is knitting in GLORIOUS technicolor!

P.P.S.  I understand and have documentary evidence that some of the Gang caused mayhem in the shop whilst the HCBs were at Jack's - they have been severely reprimanded and  we hope they won't do such a thing again!
