This is Maree daughter of the owners of the surf school/bar where we held D&Vs beach-side wedding ceremony last year (see Annie’s photo here).  

We’re here because (i) Varnika has been commissioned to paint a mural on one of the walls and (ii) Anniemay fancies a swim in the sea.  While Varnika discusses paint colours, Anniemay and Maree have painting of their own to get on with.

Once artist and client agree, Anniemay and I go down to the beach.  It’s hot.  Far too hot for me,  I dip my toe into the (warm) Indian Ocean and then retreat to the shelter of a beach-side bar.
