The journey

I am so pleased for our grandson Hadley. After trials last week, he has been selected as a permanent member of the  Shirley Boys High School 1st XI cricket for 2024. This year he was a member of the wider 1st XI training squad and played for the 2nd's and some for the 1st's when required. He was thrilled to play in the grade final for the firsts which they won just over 2 weeks ago. The collage shows some earlier images from his younger teams. I have watched every game that I could since he was 5 years old. I am now really looking forward to the next 2 years watching at the top level.
