Pelting Down

Spent the morning hanging out in the lapa beside the pool, finishing off a couple of unmemorable books. Was going to go for a swim when I realised the sky was becoming ominously black so held off for a bit. Good decision! Pretty soon it was chucking it down, thunder was rolling around and lightning was getting nearer. I’d just taken this shot when there was a strike so close I nearly jumped out of my skin.
An hour later calm was restored and the streets were pretty dry by the time we headed out to dinner with K&L, back to Dopio’s where they’d taken us for our first dinner of the holiday. Oxtail croquettes were a first for me, as was a prawn, brie, bacon and avocado burger. Needless to say I ate way, way too much. It was great!
