Refaat Alareer was a poet, writer, and professor of world literature and creative writing in Gaza. He was killed, along with many members of his family, by an IDF airstrike on December 6, 2023. He wrote a remarkable poem soon after the bombing of Gaza started. World Literature Today has now published it, translated into English and Spanish.
