Wild night
It's a noisy night out there, more from the wind than the rain. So far we haven't had as much rain as they had forecast. The wind has been blowing all day though.
I had to go to a doctor's appointment this morning and it was hard walking across the parking lot. It was easier to walk sideways until you were sheltered by a building. After the appointment I decided to have a quick drive out to Eastern Passage to check out the waves. They were not that big yet. It is the high tide tonight that they have the storm surge warning for.
I just heard a noise outside and the snow shovel was leaning against the door. I had left it laying down earlier but the roommate must have stood it up when he came in. When I looked out I noticed that one of my planters has gone on a trip somewhere. I have some greenery in it for the winter. I will have to go looking for it in the morning. It is likely under the forsythia hedge now.
The forecast for the next few days keeps changing, and it also depends on who you listen to. TWN has 15 mm of rain in the forecast for tomorrow and showers on Wednesday. It was 30 - 40 mm for both days. One of the amateur forecasters on FB says we are going to get up to 300 mm of rain by Thursday. He often posts the worse case scenario and he does not allow anyone to comment on his posts so no one can question how he gets his forecasts. I will have to check a couple of other pages that usually have fairly accurate forecasts.
