Biscotti battalion
After belatedly realising that the recipe required me to make an orange caramel, then crush it and add the powder to the flour (!) I decided last night that the making biscotti was a two day operation.
Then I discovered that my caramel wouldn't set, despite two goes at heating it, so I opted to veer off piste slightly and 'adjust' the recipe.
Despite these and other set-backs the end result looks and tastes great. Just maybe not so great that I ever need to make it again!
Not much else happened today, which was probably a good thing...
