Aberdeen at Work

One of my favourite paintings in the gallery. By George Mackie it shows Aberdonians working away at fishing, granite quarrying and offshore oil and gas - industries which at various points in the history of the city have been major employers. It was displayed in a local bank till it closed earlier this year.
