Striking a Pose

No bird can strike such a dramatic pose as the Nuthatch.  I was so pleased to see one at the suet feeder.  As I've said, this year is nearly bird-less and certainly squirrel-less.  It is so sad.  Today, the rain will be torrential with high winds in places, mostly along the coast.  I have to try and make it to the post office this morning to mail the last 3 packages and my cards.  I hope the road isn't flooded along the way.  Last year we were buried in snow and this year we are drowning!  Gift#349: rain and not snow.
