It's A Minute To Midnight

My Garri bless his heart did the long 20 hour drive up to Fort William to pick Mum up for Xmas. All went ok till the last leg down the M6 when all traffic ground to a halt around 2am Sunday morning. They phoned me to check online what was happening and I found out that there had been an overturned vehicle earlier on and they had completely closed all lanes on M6! It did say traffic would start to flow normally around 3am. So it was torturous to say the least.
Now have to get through a week of me being on nights and Garri going to bed at about 5pm to get up for his job which starts around 11:30pm wake up call for him. I start at 10pm so mum is on her own for much of this week but it’s a year where I will get five days off with mum starting from next Saturday and then Garri will do the 20 hour journey to take her back the next Saturday.
This is my new Aurora and Moon light ( which a friend of mine bought and I had to have one as I do miss the Aurora) It makes my editing space wonderful and peaceful and cosy.
In other news I have taken the plunge and ordered a new Nikon Z lens 14-24mm f2.8 from Cotswold Cameras! Taken a punt as never used them before but I’m afraid the super low price (grey import) is one I cannot refuse. Shame I didn’t know about them before Norway it’ll come in handy for Norway in a few years and Wales in May and hopefully a weekend trip to London in January for architecture photography with my bestie Paula and a fellow photographer from Essex.
It’s a crappy phone shot but not got time for anything else at the moment.
