Cricket immigration checks

The hottest day of the year....and I have the day off work. Now, that is a very rare combination! Suzanne, her Dad and I had tickets for the semi-final of the Champions Trophy at the Oval between England and South Africa.

England won the toss and chose to bowl as it was overcast and humid. Good choice. Anderson, Finn and Tredwell made light work of the Proteas' batting, and only a record 9th wicket partnership for South Africa in ODIs gave the score a touch of respectability. The sun duly came out for the England innings, and Trott played superbly to see England home safely and to secure our place in the final. The Marstons' Pedigree went down very nicely as well....

The photo is taken from the new members' entrance at the Oval looking, down on the security checks and the queues waiting to enter via Hobbs gate.
