Guanajuato At Last
After all the difficult traveling we have been having the past few days, today's trip from Morelia to our home base for the next two weeks, Guanajuato, was a breeze. Taxi to the bus station, bus (which seems to be one of the few things in Mexico that adheres to a strict timetable) to Guanajuato, taxi to the apartment. Simple, relatively quick, and less expensive than if we were to have driven. Of course, now we have to figure out transport to Léon on Friday, but that is days away. In the meantime, we get to look at hillsides covered in multi-colored houses like this view from our terrace across the valley. Tomorrow we are going to go down the hill and explore the centro, full of churches, theaters, and other impressive buildings from the grand colonial period.
