Fitting It All In
I had a coffee and a brief catch up with Mrs S when she came in off night shift before I headed off for the first meeting of the day, RNA Committee Meeting in the rugby clubs conservatory.
An hour later I was on my way to Connor Downs to meet up with Iain before heading off to Bodriggy Academy’s VE Day celebrations. An amazing hours experience, the children aged 5-6 were amazing. Most were dressed in ‘40’s style carrying gas mask boxes and despite some being clearly nervous they all performed poetry, sang songs, told stories and showed us their art and models.
Tremendous fun, lots of questions, a cream tea and chance to relax, among our number was a 93 year old who had lived through the events that the children were acting out.
Back home for a change of clothing and a coffee before heading off to the Epic Committee Meeting, again in the rugby club but in the main hall.
A productive and enjoyable day.
