Happy Birthday to Me

My son and the grandkids were planning on coming over today to celebrate my birthday and decorate the Christmas tree....but the kids have colds. So we video chatted instead. Sad not to see them, but happy not to get their germs! My sister (actually former sister-in-law) Barb came over as planned and I ordered in some Reuben sandwiches (one of my very faves) and she brought a fabulous lemon cake (above) with the cutest darned candles! We're both cat lovers, so it makes sense.

Lots of phone calls and emails and texts today - all in all a lovely birthday. Hard to believe that I'm another year older!
