Seagulls living on the edge

We went for a sea cliff walk today east of Hopeman near Covesea. We saw many seabirds on their nests, but they are not actually nests. They lay their eggs or egg on a rocky shelf on the side of cliffs. The cliffs are 70 metres above the sea. Very precarious, but it seems to work. While out today I saw this Herring Gull with a couple of day old chick. Down below them on its own was another bundle of fluff, I think this was a Fulmar chick. There were a lot of Fulmars flying around, but I liked this as it looked very family orientated> These are not your common Gulls that hang about the towns. These actually live on the edge of the cliffs. So I like these. They also catch and eat fish, not like the townies that eat Burgers and chips. So todays blip, Seagulls on the cliff edge!
