Distant Trees

Two long meetings today, one with a prospective celebrant for DH's service (he'll do, he's also a knitter like DH), and one at the funeral director's.  Chose  two dates in the New Year - the only date before Christmas was next Tuesday.  To quote the funeral director's assistant, 'we don't want to rush it, we want to do it right'.  Tuesday would be far too rushed, and impossible for people to arrange travel from England.  It's a relief to have a later date, actually.
A phone call from one of my sisters later in the afternoon, to check up.  A fair few have been doing that.
Gathering and editing information for the celebrant and the order of service booklet.
When this is all over the hard part will really start.
