A Choir of Angels

Well this was a surprise. On Tuesday I blipped a stained glass window designed by J F Bentley. You can see it here. It was the first time I'd come across a church stained glass window by Bentley. Today, less than five miles from that window I came across another designed by J F Bentley. This one was made 17 years later, in 1887. The tones are much more muted but the design is very similar, especially in the tracery. The canon of saints has been replaced by a choir of angels. Again, the theme in the window reflects the name of the church - St Michael and All Angels.
