Toward the end of the summer, I took a large number of cuttings from a Rosemary bush in our back garden, and heeled them in to a peat-free compost + perlite mixture in a grow table beside the garden fence.

Imagine my surprise when I lifted the translucent lid of the grow table and discovered that one of the smallest cuttings had flowered.
