Bridport old pier

Left the east coast behind as we headed over towards Launceston via the occasionally narrow and winding A3.  At Derby we stopped for morning tea.  This area is world famous for MTB trails and the village is now full of accommodation and facilities for the muddy clientele.  Extra 1 shows one of the shuttle/bike hire places (zoom in to see pics of some of the gnarly trails).  At Scottsdale we decided to detour to the north coast to Bridport.  Found the old pier (main).  Further along at George Town we had a look at the lighthouse at Low Head (extra 2).  Arrived at our city centre hotel just before happy hour so had to have a drink in the hotel's Tram bar inside a real 1911 Launceston tram (extra 3).
