Silver Shadow

Another day of trains, my 4th in a week. I have to say that I’ve caught 18 individual trains on these journeys and only one was cancelled, a couple were a few minutes late (but still made my connection with less time waiting on cold platforms) and I had a seat every time. Can’t be bad!
Today’s trip was to meet a friend in Manchester for afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel. Nice wander through the market and shops first. We were puzzled by this Rolls at the top of the steps to the hotel - couldn’t work out how they had manoeuvred it into a small space up stairs. Tea was good!
