Down by the jetty
Day, the fourth.
It is alway easy to lose track of time when on holiday, especially when your plans are flexible.
After a light breakfast, we returned to our room to prepare for the second part of our spa treatment. I mis-informed you the other day when I said we were getting an Indian Perfumed Oil massage, that comes at the weekend, it was, in actual fact a hot oil one. Today however, we had another batch of seaweed paste smeared all over us, but this time no plastic wrap was involved. Which was a bit of a relief, as the wrap was a bit too warm for comfort. It did our skin the world of good though.so, after this, a rest and a cup,of sage tea, was followed by a jacuzzi. Not your bog standard, just blowing bubbles jacuzzi, but a proper hydrotherapy one. Finally finishing with another massage, focussing on specific points on the body, starting at the feet and ending with the face and scalp.
This made us fighting fit for our walk along the beach to the next resort, Hammamet Yasmine. This is much busier than where we are, and therefore has plenty of cafes, shops and bars. As well as shop staff trying to entice us in.
We had Panninis and fruit juice for lunch at a place that was situated by the marina, which is obviously where all the rich French folk chose to park their vessels up down by the jetty there. As well as fishing boats, and speed boats for hire.
One of the hotels along the sea front, it's name escapes me meantime, was positively Gaudi like in its construction.
After a beer for me in a beach bar, and a gin and tonic for June, a drink that the bar didn't have, the barman sent somebody across to the nearest hotel for it, we walked back along the beach, on the hottest day so far.
We purchased a small hold all type bag for our two day trip into the Sahara on Sunday.
Soon though it will be dinner again, 2030 sitting for us,where I look forward to seeing what delicacies are on offer. Something as nice as the quail that we had on Monday would be suffice.
