False economy

H's school doesn't get much love - the playground and basement flood when it rains, only us volunteers clear the fallen leaves (and we've not done much recently), and the gutters are full of plants and footballs...

We did a bit of work in the playground this morning to top up a couple of the half-empty big planters. It was heavy work as the compost was waterlogged, so we finished early and then three of us went for coffee, conversation and cake nearby, before taking a stroll till pick up time.
