Three in a row...
Well not quite three in a row but near enough. There were three tugs heading upriver, towards Port Glasgow, in line astern but I could not get all three in one frame. Fortunately a small fishing boat was heading downriver so I used him to make up numbers.
Being down here for a few days has made me more appreciative of the shipping on the Clyde, its variety and the complexity of the river. When the tide is out the navigable channel looks quite narrow and quite complicated- a large sandbank appears in the middle where you expect the channel to be deepest.
This is a case of greater familiarity breeding greater interest.
