Land's End exploration
We started with a short stroll up to a little known passage grave at Treen. So little known that it was pretty overgrown with brambles and the like. Tricia soon whipped out her secateurs and the entrance was cleared revealing a low stone lined chamber. Exploration of a second nearby cairn was cut short by a land owner not being awfully enthusiastic.
On then to some industrial archaeology and probably the engine houses iin the most spectacular setting of all at the Crowns,Botallack. Hard to imagine how grim it must have looked when working back in the 19th century.
