UV Strip

Putting a sacrificial strip on the leach (trailing edge) of the Genoa. When put on the furling gear it gets left rolled up rather than lowered and put in a locker so the edge of the sail gets constant sun that rots the sailcloth in quite a short time.
This job is quite a struggle, there’s a lot of sail to handle and the seams are long, so you end up chasing any errors and getting a bump.
Day out tomorrow so will pick it up on Saturday afternoon perhaps.
Having a sewing room that we can leave and close the door is really good.
