Putting up the tree

Quiet day waiting to hear the news from Maidstone gas engineer, so took the chance to put up the tree. Lovely to see ornaments purchased through the years - full of memories. Mum and dad would take the girls on a trip to the garden centre and return with a new decoration each. 

Also a conundrum ... who will put the fairy on the tree? Realised that it is the first year of putting the tree up on my own in 28 years. Usually there is a delightful discussion about whose turn it is as the girls always take turn to do this once all the other decorations are done. I will need to make new traditions.
