Yay dandelions

I’m waiting for pictures from two more photographers. One just promised me 10-20. I don’t need anyone else. Totally set. 

I mean, I’d like more money for catering, the photo booths, and shipping, but I have a minimum number of pictures now and if Salgu sends some and Octavia sends some then I even know how I’ll do the survey and rather than pick pictures of one person over another, kids can pick the best picture of each person. Everyone wins, lots of representation. 

Last night I got to see the author/former neighbor I did the head shot for and she gave me her new book. :-)

The Nordic nations told Zelensky that they still have Ukraine’s back. After leaving the US he went to Norway. They said they will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland have, together, provided about 11 billion euros of aid. The Danish Prime Minister (a woman) said that Denmark will present to its parliament a new support package work 1 billion euros this week. 

Poland has had varied relationships with Ukraine. They hate each other, They are allies against Russia. They hate each. Poland takes in lots of Ukrainian refugees, they love each other. Polish farmers feel financial pain, they hate each other. There is a new Polish premier, Donald Tusk. The previous government was fighting with Ukraine about grain exports. Tusk’s first act was a trip to Brussels to discuss new aid and EU talks for Ukraine. Supporting Ukraine will be a priority for Poland according to the Foreign Minister. Tusk slammed Western leaders for their fatigue and for holding up aid packages. 

The border with Poland has been blocked as part of the squabbling. It is now partially unblocked and Ukrainian food exports by road are up. About 350 lorries have passed through a road crossing the border since Polish truck drivers lifted the blockade on Monday.
