Catkins?

Not sure what these are, they look like catkins. Anyone know?

Another depressing day of wet, cold weather. When is it ever going to stop? While Susan was having coffee with a group of friends I went on is walk visit supermarkets and post offices to buy supplies and stamps. Long queues in one post office, very few people in the other.

Susan went to see her mum this afternoon and came back very concerned about her health. The doctor is coming to see her tomorrow so we will have to take it from there. Meanwhile, I finished my cards and completed other pressing tasks including posting that claim for pothole damage.

This evening was the Marmite Ukulele Club of Kent’s Christmas jam. Good number of people there and plenty of unsuitable food as well as great fun playing various Christmas songs some of which we sang at double time.
