Perched, faraway!
Leaving Addo: ‘Much better weather’ said King, our camp manager, ‘you’ll see a lot of game today.’ and I’m sure we would have if we weren’t heading on. As it was we came across a big elephant herd, at least thirty strong, which was the perfect end to our visit. So north again, back towards Colesberg and a night in an eco-lodge on the Orange River, another spectacular sunset and an early night.
The bird is a Southern Pale Chanting Goshawk. Sorry but I don’t know what it was chanting.
