Wasted trip

On a cold dark day Norman drove me across country to the outskirts of London. It was a miserable journey - there were roadworks everywhere, but we got there in time for my hospital appointment. Imagine my dismay when I discovered the appointment is tomorrow! I have no written record of it, so I don’t know how it happened. So frustrating, not only do we have to make a return visit tomorrow, we have to pay the congestion charge again!
