Fantastic day

A great start to the day with a visit to Blackwell, a stunning Arts and Crafts house on the shores of Lake Windermere. (A return visit as we were there in April). Fantastic exhibition of Halima Cassell ceramics. A complete surprise as she is the sister of our youngest daughter’s friend. Unfortunately not close enough a connection to merit a discount on her artwork. (It would need to be a big one).
A great lunch there and a talk in the afternoon and beautiful Lake District landscapes there and back.
An excellent dinner at the Square Orange followed by a carol concert and brass band in St John’s Church.
Super super day.
