Very comfy night in our little room, so despite the late night we were up quite early. Matt had never been to Covent Garden so since we were just round the corner we had a wander first thing - I needed a Muji stop, and Matt got a couple of things in Uniqlo.

Back to hotel to get the others, then spent a couple of hours meandering (in the sunshine!) through Soho and Mayfair. Lunch was at the Mercato, could not be more different a venue to the one in Elephant - this one an absolutely beautiful converted church. We got our assorted meals and ate it on the roof terrace to enjoy the weather.

At the cocktail bar last night we’d all spent a long time discussing our dream meals à la Off Menu, and weirdly this place provided 3 out of 4 of us with one of our dream dishes. Felt like dining destiny.

Back to Paddington for our train home and we managed to get a table so played some cards.
