Wet and Windy

The weather was so grim today, I didn’t even bother going outside to take today’s picture which was taken from inside a snug, dry cafe this afternoon.  Just a few more days and it will be the shortest day of the year.

I made the marzipan for my Christmas cake this afternoon after rashly offering to bring some of the cake to a friend’s house to share with coffee later in the week, after which I realised I hadn’t actually made the marzipan and icing
