Don't call me now, I'm reading!
"The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid."
Jane Austen
So, all you urbanites out there, have you anything to compare with this in your crowded city streets?
Here in Suffolk, the buses may be failing us and our local pubs and shops closing, leaving the carless in conditions of greater and greater difficulty and isolation - but at least we can still lose ourselves in a good book.
And doesn't the Book Swap Shop look magnificent - standing red and proud amongst the summer green of a little country lane?
I love Suffolk (in case you haven't noticed)!
