Glen Sligachan.
Today once the weather had cleared up a bit we ventured out in to Glen Brittle.
Whilst him indoors loitered around some old farm buildings doing some sketching I went for a long walk from the main glen in to the Cuillin mountains and Glen Sligachan.
It is incredibly dramatic as you start to get closer and closer to the base of the mountains, it feels like its going to swallow you right up.
But there are beautiful clear green pools and waterfalls that make so much noise you can't hear yourself think straight. One of my favourite walks on Skye that's for sure.
I was really interested in this orange streaking in the rock, wasn't sure if it was iron or some other mineral element but it did sure make the view even more dramatic than it already was.
