Scholars Rocks

These ceramic rocks crafted by Rachel Mimiec scatter the landscape at the start of the West Highland Way outside Milngavie.

The weather too good not to be out and about, and I was keen to try out the AllTrails app that I’ve recently acquired (on Black Friday at 50% reduction). I used it to recce a straightforward loop around Mugdock Country Park, which I will do with walking pals on Friday.

A beautiful walk, I was surprised to learn that there both green and great spotted woodpeckers in the woods, I saw the latter. And several Siskins. Pine martens are also in the area, however no reference to red squirrels which are further north west, I’ve seen them near Rowardennan.
