It's that time again!

I woke with an awful sore throat. Argh! I can't afford to get sick this week, or this month even! The decision to work from home was quickly made and relayed to the team. It works better anyway because I have fewer distractions, and my ultrawide monitor makes me far quicker.

G had a 4get-me-not tenth anniversary do to attend in an English pub (Sherlock Holmes) in old Dubai. She asked me to drop her off, which I did. A few hours later, I picked her up. In the process, I discovered that a road that has been closed for years is now open so we can drive from Al Fahidi to Al Seef on a scenic route!

We popped into the Hilton to get a problem that occurred the last time we were at the Sky Bar. Unbelievably, we saw the person we needed (Edwin) within two minutes of walking in! Amazing.

Late as it was, we went on to Dubai Mall as I wanted to look in M&S for some last things for Friday night. Happily, it was a worthwhile visit. I can't believe I am shopping for clothes. Fancy ones at that!

PS. My blip is the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Canopy Hilton.
