Walking at Win Green in Wiltshire

It been a while since I last drove to Win Green. It was cold on the high ground although I have been there when it has been colder. The grass is pretty flat during the winter and I expect that added to my seeing a lark on the ground a short distance away. Then it flew up about 6 feet high and at most 10 feet away and was joined by a second bird and they came close and sang a look lark song it seems for me.
