Red Bellied Sapsucker

This Red Bellied Sapsucker was hammering its beak into the birch...it was quick so I got 35 blurred bird shots and this sort of passable shot. I don't see this bird very often so I am excited whenever he shows up in my backyard. The little Kingslet in the extra is a surprise visitor at my window too.

This afternoon was our neighborhood cookie exchange. It is fun to catch up with my neighbors. Nothing too exciting happening in the neighborhood...no juicy gossip...but I came home with a variety of delicious cookies. 

The weather was mild today. Nice to walk next door.
