Spirit of Christmas

It’s been a busy day socialising. First, we had the annual drinks party for our road.  This is always a jolly occasion, more so now that we have so many new people here and two families brought along their children.
 
 
After that it was into Stirling for the carol concert in Holy Rude church given by Stirling choir. 
 
 I must confess if a friend of mine hadn’t been singing in the choir I doubt if we would have dragged ourselves out on a dark night in the rain but so glad we did.
 
It’s always good to go to a live musical event especially one in such an exceptionally beautiful setting as this 15th century church ,  next to Stirling castle , and  the site of Mary Queen of Scots coronation.
 
Also, it gave me an opportunity to catch up with people I had not seen for some time.
