St.Bees

We were really lucky with the day on the whole. I get ridiculously excited when I get near the sea. It was a wet start when we got the train to Whitehaven and then made our way along the coast path. Then it was very windy on the cliff top with added stinging rain and plenty of mud. But once down in Fleswick Bay it cleared and brightened and was lovely for the rest of our route back to St.Bees for our dip just as the sun went down. We retreated to the pub and I enjoyed a very welcome mulled wine : )
